Risk Factors for Heart Disease

The health of your heart depends on many different factors that all come together. What you eat, how you do your excercise, and also things like your family history comes into play.

It is crucial to identify risk factors at an early stage to be able to reduce the possibility of getting heart problems in the long run. The Cleveland Clinic has put together a list of risk factors to keep in mind:

  • High cholesterol.
  • High blood pressure.
  • Smoking.
  • Diabetes.
  • Obesity.
  • Not getting enough exercise.
  • Being older than age 45 for men, and older than 55 for women.
  • Having a family history of heart disease.

We strongly believe that it pays off to think ahead, and to reduce the risk factors for heart disease in time. It can be done in many small but important steps – excercises and clinically proven supplements for example.
